Belgian Cycling Factory and Würth: Building Quality, Craftsmanship and Innovation Together

At Belgian Cycling Factory, quality extends far beyond the bikes that leave our factory. Behind every frame stands a network of people and partners who help make the difference. Würth is one of those partners today. What began as a collaboration centred around professional products and tools has evolved into a partnership built on shared values of quality, innovation and craftsmanship.

Across Belgian Cycling Factory, every department contributes to that commitment to quality. From Research & Development and paint to assembly and quality control, every detail matters. That is why we choose to work with partners who share the same mindset. Würth supports several departments with professional products, technical expertise and reliable service, allowing our employees to focus entirely on what they do best: developing and building world-class Belgian bicycles.

Anyone walking through Belgian Cycling Factory today will immediately notice the collaboration with Würth. The workshop in our new Experience Center, for example, has been fully equipped with Würth workshop cabinets and storage solutions. Our Customer Service department also relies on Würth's maintenance products, tools and workshop equipment every single day. And the partnership extends well beyond production. Würth toolboxes have become a familiar sight during product photoshoots and technical marketing projects. It may seem like a small detail, but it perfectly illustrates how deeply Würth's products have become integrated into our daily operations.

ORSY vending systems

A recent milestone in the partnership is the installation of two Würth ORSY vending systems at the factory. These smart inventory cabinets provide employees with quick and easy access to essential consumables such as adhesives, gloves, abrasives and other products that are used every day on the shop floor.

"The ORSY vending systems reduce the workload for both our supply chain team and our team leaders," explains Operations Manager Robbie Gelders. "Employees can simply collect the items they need, while stock levels are monitored automatically. Würth takes care of replenishing the inventory at the right time, ensuring our people always have the materials they need without any additional administrative work."

A great deal of preparation took place behind the scenes before the system was implemented. Gelders helped determine which products should be stocked in the machines, linked employees to the badge access system and defined the minimum and maximum stock levels. Thanks to that groundwork, the system now operates exactly as intended.

The vending systems offer an additional benefit as well. Every year, thousands of visitors tour Belgian Cycling Factory during our Factory of Dreams experiences. Not only do they get an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at our production process, but they also discover how smart inventory management and efficient workshop organisation contribute to a modern manufacturing environment. At the same time, it provides Würth with the perfect opportunity to demonstrate how its solutions are applied in daily practice—a true win-win for both companies.

Beyond the workshop

Today, the partnership extends far beyond the factory floor. Both companies are committed to strengthening each other commercially and are steadily building a long-term, sustainable collaboration.

The Experience Center plays an important role in that ambition. Würth plans to use the venue for strategy meetings, customer events and team-building activities. It is precisely the combination of professional meeting facilities and unique cycling experiences that makes the Experience Center so distinctive. A strategic meeting can effortlessly be combined with a relaxed ride on electric city bikes, a gravel or road cycling experience, a track cycling session at Zolder Velodrome, a professional bike fitting or even a visit to the wind tunnel.

The partnership is also taking shape on the marketing side. During Würth's summer campaign, customers have the chance to win a Ridley bicycle. In addition, both companies are exploring joint video productions, dealer training sessions, Start to Bike initiatives and events that will bring the two brands even closer together.

A shared ambition

"A high-quality end product is always the result of great people and great partners," says Head of Operations Robby Stas. "Würth is exactly that kind of partner for us. We share the same vision on craftsmanship, reliability and continuous improvement. That enables us to strengthen each other today while continuing to grow together in the years ahead."

The partnership continues to evolve. New digitalisation projects, additional workshop applications and joint initiatives for customers and dealers are already in development. Underpinning every step is the same shared conviction: if you want to become a little better every day, you achieve it best by doing it together.
